21th climb to Zavižan

We invite all interested cyclists to participate in the recreational cycling race, the 21st Ascent to Zavižan 2024 (from 0 to 1594 m above sea level), which will take place on June 22, 2024 (Saturday), organized by the Public Institution Northern Velebit National Park, BBK Senj, the City of Senj, the Tourist Board of the City of Senj, and the Public Institution Velebit Nature Park. Start 1 is on the Adriatic Highway in the center of Senj, then continues south along the highway, and after 1 km, turns left towards the hill Trbušnjak, climbing towards the village of Rončević Dolac (6 km from the start). This part of the race is on an asphalt road and is quite demanding due to the steep ascent. From Oltar, the trail covers the first 250 m on an asphalt county road towards Krasno, after which it turns right onto an asphalt road towards the Northern Velebit National Park (about 7.5 km), and then from Babić Siča, it continues on a gravel road (about 9 km), finally reaching the last 650 m ascent on an asphalt road to the Zavižan Mountain Lodge, where the finish line is. The length of the trail is 38 km. Gathering at the administration building of the Park. The trail follows an asphalt road through the town to the Vukelići hamlet and further along a gravel road to the turn towards the Northern Velebit National Park and the finish at the Zavižan Mountain Lodge. The trail length is 20 km.
