Krnica jiri will be held traditionally on the occasion of the end of the school year on Saturday, June 15, starting at 6:00 p.m. on the county road Krnica / Krnički porat. The introduction to this year's Krnički jire will be children's races under the appropriate name Krnički jiri MIĆI, and in addition to the children's and main races, the BEVANDA RUN will also be organized! The main race is 4.5 km long and, as the name suggests, over 2 km runs uphill and downhill! At the finish line, refreshments will be waiting for all competitors, as well as fresh fish from the gradel, organized by our hard-working fishermen.
The novelty is the BEVANDA RUN race, which was designed in cooperation with our friends from the top of Čevo near Varaždin, who traditionally organize the wicked race next to the gemište. Our race is adapted to the Istrian climate, so we replaced the gemište with a bevanda. The rules are simple; at the very start we drink a glass of soft drink and another one every 800 meters. At the very end of the climb, right in front of the first houses in Krnica, the stopwatch stops after drinking the fourth glass of water after running 2.4 km uphill.
