"Cener - Open Road Hill Climb Championship of the City of Zagreb" will take place on Medvednica on Sunday, March 24, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. CATEGORIES: Elite/U23, Juniors, Cadets, Beginners (U13-U15), CFA category (Veterans A, B, C, and D). Participation is only possible with a valid HBS/UCI license and a valid medical certificate for 2024. REGISTRATIONS: Submit entries to bk.ciklus@gmail.com by Friday, March 23, 2024, 12:00 AM. Late registrations (after March 23, 2024, 12:00 AM) will have a 50% higher entry fee. Include name, UCI code, club, category, and gender in the registration. Late entries must also provide information about accompanying persons. BIB PICK-UP: Between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM, at the administrative building of PP Medvednica - Bear Sculpture, symbol of Medvednica. START: 2:00 PM (due to heavy morning traffic on Sljeme Road, the start is at 2:00 PM) For Categories: Cadets; Juniors; Women; U23; Elite; CFA – white line above the PP Medvednica administrative building. COURSE LENGTH: 9.75 km, 750 m elevation gain FINISH LINE: White line on the road where the Leustek hiking trail meets the road. AWARDS: Medals for the top three club members of the Croatian Cycling Federation (ZBS) in all categories for each race, separately in the male and female categories. GENERAL NOTES: Participation is only possible with a road bike. The road is one-way, and traffic on Sljeme Road is open to all vehicles. Participants must yield to vehicles and ride on the right side of the road. The technical regulations of HBS and UCI apply to the race. Participants ride at their own risk. All participants must wear a protective helmet. The organizer is not responsible for actions committed by participants against third parties. The organizer is not liable for any damage or injuries. The race will take place regardless of weather conditions, except in case of severe weather conditions, where the organizer reserves the right to postpone the race. The racecourse will not be closed to pedestrians or other park visitors, so participants are expected to be cautious. Please respect nature, not only during the race but also by preserving the trail and the forest. There is no mobile signal on some parts of the trail. Hot tea and refreshments will be provided for all participants and escorts after the race. Participants are urged to behave decently and tolerantly towards cyclists and hikers encountered on the mountain and in traffic. Check the duration of your mobile phone and carry a spare inner tube and pump on your bike. Inform your loved ones of your whereabouts. In case of an accident, call 112.
