Strkina mini liga - 1. kolo

The course is circular, with a section that follows the same path out and back. The start and finish are located at Sokolove Staje, on the western side of Biokovo, near abandoned military structures. The trail descends from the road to meadows surrounded by the powerful gorges of Biokovo. The terrain on the meadows is grassy and easy to navigate. The path winds alongside a stream or through overgrown terraces where various agricultural crops were once cultivated. Above the terraces, you may occasionally see abandoned houses and, higher up, the small church of St. Nicholas. This first section of the trail loops back toward the start before continuing approximately 500 meters uphill to the stunning viewpoint at Nevistina Stina. The trail passes through Paklina, a unique forest of black pine. At the viewpoint, you'll encounter rock formations known locally as Nevistina Stina, tied to an intriguing local legend that will be shared in one of our posts or can be read on the informational board at the site. A checkpoint will be located there, after which you’ll return along the same path to the finish.
