Trk za Grk

The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Lumbarda, in collaboration with the Association of Winemakers and Vine Growers "Grk Lumbarda," organizes a unique race that brings together running enthusiasts, wine lovers, or both. The race consists of 12 checkpoints, or 12 wineries that produce Grk wine. To successfully complete a checkpoint, participants must drink a 0.5dl glass of Grk wine at the winery. The winner of the race is the competitor who visits the most checkpoints in the shortest time. The route starts from the very center of Lumbarda, through the picturesque Račišće Bay, then along the Koludrt promenade to the first checkpoint, the Lovrić winery. It then ascends to the neighboring wineries - Bire and Zure. After that, it follows the road through the Šerić and Vela Postrana hamlets to the Cipre and Casa Boschi wineries. Then, continuing along the road through Malo Postrana to the Popić and Vitis wineries, the route extends to Pržina Beach next to the Sabulum winery. Subsequently, it passes through Pržina Beach and Lumbarajsko Field to the Luče winery, after which it continues through the fields and under the church of St. Roko to the Cebalo winery. Climbing up Velu Glavica, the road continues to the Nobilo winery, after which it descends to Tatinja to the final checkpoint, the Fides winery. The race ends in the town center.
