The race starts at the square in front of the municipality in Karlobag. The first kilometer runs along the sea, across the beach below Hotel Zagreb, all the way to Tatinja Beach. At that point, the national road is crossed, and the trail gradually ascends towards the Staništa settlement (with 1 km of asphalt). From Staništa, the route ascends via a mountaineering trail to Ledenik (Kućišta Cesarička). After a short asphalt section, a steep ascent begins via a mountaineering trail towards the peak of Velinac (965 m above sea level). The climb to Velinac is steep and demanding, with a rocky surface, and the steepest part is gravelly. Just before reaching the Velinac peak, there is a trail junction where you turn left towards the peak itself, where the first checkpoint is located (a number needs to be punched). From there, you return back via the mountaineering trail to the previous junction, where you turn left again towards the Premužić Trail. This part of the route is undulating, passing over several meadows, and after 10.7 km, you reach the Premužić Trail (1 refreshment station), where you briefly run along it (for 200 meters), before sharply turning left onto a mountaineering trail that ascends to the saddle between Budakov and Prikinuto brdo. At the saddle (a live checkpoint), you turn left and ascend to the peak of Budakov brdo, which is the highest point of the race (1317 m above sea level) and where the second checkpoint is located (a number needs to be punched). From Budakov brdo, the trail descends back to the saddle, after which it ascends towards Prikinuto brdo. After Prikinuto brdo, there is a gentle descent, followed by an ascent to the peak of Visibaba. The entire ridge from Budakov, over Prikinuto to Visibaba, is a mountaineering trail offering beautiful views of Velebit on one side and the island of Pag and the Velebit Channel on the other. After Visibaba, there is a steep and technically demanding descent to the Premužić Trail, which you follow to Dabarska kosa (2 refreshment stations) at 18.5 km. After the refreshment, there is a technically demanding ascent to the peak of Butinovača (1127 m), from where a short technical descent (requiring extra caution at several points) leads back to the Premužić Trail. The next 2 km are run along the Premužić Trail, and at the end of the trail, there is a 1 km forest road to the 3rd refreshment station at Stupačinovu (23 km). After the refreshment, the race route ascends through a meadow towards the peak of Badanj (1164 m), offering beautiful views of Baške Oštarije, surrounding peaks, and islands. After Badanj, the trail gently descends past the famous "Prpine Jatare" towards Prpić polje, from where it ascends to the peak of Basača (1089 m above sea level). From the top, there is a magnificent view towards the island of Pag. The descent from Basača towards Kubus is short but technically demanding. At Kubus, there is the 4th refreshment station, after which the trail continues towards Debelo kosa. A short technical descent from Debelo kosa leads to Terezijana, which is followed towards the hostel where the race finishes. The race route is demanding and requires a certain level of trail running and/or mountaineering experience. It is not recommended for beginners or participants without similar prior experience.

Race description: The race starts in front of the hostel in Baške Oštarije. Combining asphalt road, marked trails, and dirt roads with gentle ascents, the route heads towards Stupačinovo (north). After descending from the dirt road, a steep ascent follows via a mountaineering trail towards the peak of Kiza (1274 m). Due to the challenging approach, the trail does not lead to the peak of Kiza but instead veers southwest just before reaching the summit. This part of the trail passes between rock formations and requires extra caution. Continuing on, the trail opens onto a slope with views of Baške Oštarije and the island of Pag. Descending steeply, the trail leads towards Stupačinovo (1 refreshment station), after which it ascends through a meadow towards the peak of Badanj (1164 m), offering beautiful views of Baške Oštarije, surrounding peaks, and islands. After Badanj, the trail gently descends past the famous "Prpine Jatare" and further descends towards Prpić polje, from where it ascends to the peak of Basača. From the top, there is a magnificent view towards the island of Pag. The descent from Basača towards Kubus is short but technically demanding. There are 2 refreshment stations at Kubus, after which the trail continues towards Debelo kosa, the lowest peak of the race. Descending from Debelo kosa, the trail leads to Terezijana, followed towards the hostel where the race finishes.
