C2C - Coast to coast Gravel

We’ve stretched out the trails, softened the inclines. We’ve shifted our front line to the east. We’ve connected the Mura and Drava rivers with new, dusty gravel roads. We descended into Lower Međimurje. We’re gathering and socializing again in the municipality of Sveti Juraj na Bregu, amidst the vast meadow of Forestland Park. The longer route, after an initial warm-up through the hilly part of Upper Međimurje, emerges onto the Mura River via the Sveti Martin Thermal Baths. We cross the river by bridge and return by ferry. We ride right along the Mura River to the town of Mursko Središće, and then continue to Podturen, already riding together with the shorter route. We leave the Mura River and abruptly turn south onto flat sections through potato fields. We reach the Drava River in Prelog on the shore of the lake and replenish our energy. We’ll need it during the race with the cows at the Poleve farm. After that boost, we already see the tower of St. George’s Church on the horizon as a landmark. The ride ends in the meadow of Forestland Park, where we share experiences and emotions in good company. Altitude profile: In the end, it’s mostly flat with less than 800 meters of elevation gain.
