Dolomiti Beer Trail

One distance – 24 kilometers – that highlights the pure pleasure of fast running through broadleaf forests. An elevation gain of 1400 meters demands commitment and is by no means a "minor challenge." The race starts at 9:00 AM, directly from the Brewery, which has been tied to the town of Pedavena since 1897. Leaving the village, you will ascend the southern slope of Monte Avena, following in the footsteps of Harold William Tilman, a British officer and mountaineering explorer. Monte Avena will captivate you as you traverse fir forests and crocus-filled meadows. Up here, your gaze is free to roam from the imposing Vette Feltrine to the slow flow of the Piave River in Valbelluna. You’ll pass by traditional malga (mountain huts) and casera (shepherds' houses), reaching the chapel of Saint Susanna, before finally following well-marked trails to the finish line in Pedavena.

The 12K Beer Tour Competitiva features a 12-kilometer loop course with 700 meters of elevation gain. The route is scenic, partly on dirt roads, with easy trails that allow participants to get familiar with trail running, explore the Feltrino foothills, and enjoy running in nature. It can also serve as a great training course for those with more running experience.

We like to think of trail running as an opportunity for discovery—getting to know the Feltrino region, its communities, and, of course, its local traditions. With breathtaking views of the Vette Feltrine, Valbelluna, and Monte Grappa, from the ridge of Monte Avena, the DBT ULTRA 55K will reach Passo Croce d’Aune before descending along the Dal Piaz road, guiding you through historic paths such as the Roman road Claudia Augusta Altinate and the Dolomites Trail. This race requires careful energy management, as most of the elevation gain is concentrated in the initial and central sections, while the final stretch allows for fast running through ancient beech forests. But before earning your well-deserved beer, you’ll have to conquer the steep ascent of Monte Pafagai. From there, the route descends toward Costa Solana di Vignui, passing through the villages of Lamen and Norcen, before finally reaching the finish line at Parco della Birreria—a truly well-earned arrival!
