Mont Blanc Marathon

The Mont-Blanc 90 km race has become legendary in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley. With its 92km and 6330 meters of vertical drop, it has been recognized as one of the most technical trail races in France. Although the route uses only hiking trails, these are sometimes narrow and breathtaking. Despite its difficulty, this race is one of the most beautiful! Some sections of the route take place exclusively in the snow and runners evolve very frequently between 2000m and 2500m of altitude, which requires a certain acclimation. Weather can change rapidly in mountains (wind, precipitation, hot and cold) and running at night can sometimes increase the sensation of difficulty. To participate to this race, it’s recommended to have a good mountain race experience, to be comfortable on any ground and to be autonomous for several hours. We draw your attention to the fact that a runner with no UTMB performance index higher than 450 points has very little chance to finish the race. In that case, it’s more recommended to participate in another race of Mont-Blanc Marathon.

Come and challenge yourself at 1000 meters of altitude! This race takes place in the form of a time trial. Be careful it's an alpine race!!! The end of the route is aerial and caracterised like a via ferrata (Not recommended for people with vertigo); steps, cables, pedals, handrails ... with an arrival at 2000m. Sticks are forbidden because of the technical nature of the end of the race. A time bonus will be awarded to the first man and the first woman of the Mont-Blanc Vertical km.

Created in 1979, the Cross du Mont-Blanc will celebrate its 45th edition in 2024. This friendly race, which route has remained almost unchanged since its creation, will take you on the track of the pioneers of the discipline. All in the middle of a panorama of dazzling beauty. To participate to this race, it’s recommended to have a good mountain race experience, to be comfortable on any ground and to be autonomous for several hours. We draw your attention to the fact that a runner with no UTMB performance index higher than 270 points has very little chance to finish the race. In that case, it’s more recommended to participate in another race of Mont-Blanc Marathon. Before you register, we strongly recommend that you read the route, profile and estimated passage times to be fully aware of the difficulty of this race. The time barriers indicated take into account possible slowdowns that you may encounter and we strongly advise you to plan your race with a margin over time barriers. 1680 m +

The Mont-Blanc 10 km is a race taking place in the Chamonix valley, it allows running with family or friends. This trail, although its little difference in height, will surprise you with its short but intense climbs and descents on technical singles. Come to discover this race that will enchant you with its festive and friendly atmosphere. 280 m +/-

The mini cross is a small trail for the youngest, from 800 m to 3 km depending on the categories. The departure takes place on the paragliding area and the routes take place in the wood of the bouchet. Children will have the opportunity to participate in the race “such as the adults” with a medal presentation for each child on their arrival and a raffle organised after the races with many prizes.

Come to discover the special atmosphere of a night race whose team spirit and sharing will be the watchwords. You will leave the race with stars in your eyes... To participate to this race, it’s recommended to have a good mountain race experience, to be comfortable in any ground and to be autonomous for several hours. We draw your attention to the fact that a runner with no UTMB performance index higher than 240 points has very little chance to finish the race. In that case, it’s more recommended to participate in another race of Mont-Blanc Marathon. 1450 m +/-

The flagship race of the weekend, 2nd stage of the Salomon Golden Trail World Series. It brings together the best of the discipline who are engaged in a breathtaking battle in a dream setting. The finish line of the 42km du Mont-Blanc will be in the center of Chamonix – Place du Triangle de l’Amitié. First on the fast and rolling tracks of the first part of the race and then on the steep and technical slopes of the Aiguillette des Posettes, the main difficulty of the course, and then finish at the heart of Chamonix on the Place du Triangle de l’Amitié. To participate to this race, it’s recommended to have a good mountain race experience, to be comfortable in any ground and to be autonomous for several hours. A race dedicated to young runners! The Mont-Blanc Marathon will be the theater of a race dedicated to young people. A 15km race along the 42km Mont-Blanc route will be organised on Sunday 30th June 2024. Departure at 10:30 am from Montroc, common arrival in Chamonix.
