Pelister Unique Trail Marathon

Even before the first edition, this race carries the epithet most demanding course in Macedonia! Not that it was our intention, but it simply came together from the configuration of the Baba mountain. That we were right was confirmed on 1st PUTM Edition by the Runners. Almost all the Participants were surprised by the difficulty of this trail. Encouraged by their thinking, we decided to make corrections and add to the requirements! We added more Stones and also changed the start time of the race to have only one night to run in the Darknes. The trail has 4 brutal and long climbs with 2 endless descents... it is flat only at the start of the first 2 km. The already lamented last climb before the entrance to the finish line remains, cursing is allowed, no problem. This track is for experts and runners who are extremely mentally and physically prepared!

From the heart of Bitola to the center of Pelister National Park! This race gives you the opportunity to run on the most famous pedestrian zone in Macedonia, Široki Sokak, and a little later on the most famous mountain trails on Baba Planina! That's what makes us unique, that's PUTM! And that means that there are beautiful points lined up one after the other... Tumbe Kafe, Smolevo, Dihovo village, St Atanas Church, the unique pine forest Molika, the rocky area below the peak of Ilinden to the peak of Pelister, the Small Lake, the Great Lake, the historic French road, Sapuncica river. All this connected with steep ascents and descents, wide meadows and mountain streams. For those who do not intend to chase the target time, they have the possibility to see Bitola from the viewpoint Jorgov Kamen and selfie spot, which will be 1 minute to the left of the direction of movement by km 22. We recommend you not to miss this uniqueness!! Don't forget to go back on the same track to extend the race! Note that Jorgov Kamen is a mandatory point on the route for PELISTER XTR ULTRA runners who continue from here to Stiv peak!

The shortest races in a large number of races have an ungrateful starting position...not here! The start is in the very center of the city of Bitola and it ends in the center of Baba Planina, what a uniqueness !! After a spectacular start, the trail takes you over Tumbe Kafe to the St.Athanasius the Great Monastery on the Smolevo hill, from where you have a beautifull view of the city of Bitola. You continue to one of the most visited mountain lodges in Neolica. No worries about the heat, a good part of the trail is in deep and tall forest where you have a lot of shade. The steep part of the ascent to the top of Neolica starts from the lodge. And then the view is worth every effort...unique! You also have an unobstructed view of the finish line just 2 km below you...but be careful. At that length, you will make about 600 meters of descent... maximum concentration is necessary if you want to experience a unique welcome at the finish line!
