Sinj trail

Perjanica is the most demanding route of the Sinj Trail, the iconic ALKA. This year, it brings new sections of the trail – tougher, more technical, brutally steeper. The ALKA trail will introduce you to the physically unimaginable tasks our ancestors performed. You will explore the Visoke mines. Prepare for ascents along old paths once used only by mining wagons, and get ready for spectacular views of the mine shafts where hard-earned wages were once made. After all that, we will reward you with the stunning Sutina Canyon – enjoy it, because after Sutina comes the climb to the most beautiful viewpoint in our area, Bukovik. From Bukovik, the view stretches across the magnificent Svilaja, Kamešnica, Dinara, Moseć, and Klis… catch your breath, then charge through the old Lučanj vineyards and Pavića Nebesa to a new section of the trail, reaching the Suhački streams, which will guide you through a beautiful forest to the finish line.

The ČOJA category is our most exciting competitive trail, with records that at first glance seem unbeatable, yet somehow achievable. Dare to try it – the trail is fast, technically demanding, with short and steep ascents as well as descents. A true test for real competitors. The course starts at Sinj City Market, opening with a tough, short climb to the Old Town, then continues through the pine forest of Pavića Nebesa, with the middle section being technically challenging. After exiting Pavića Nebesa, the next 2 km are the easiest of the course, preparing you for the brutal ascent to Vrh Visočnicu. From the summit follows a section featuring the steepest part of the trail, which is also a rewarded Strava segment, leading down to the entrance of Sutina. Sutina will simply enchant you – words cannot describe it. After this idyll, the trail returns via Pavića Nebesa to the Suhački streams and the finish line. Pool, swimming, lunch, beer… need we say more?

Bara is the category that attracts the most participants. Suitable for all ages, from beginners to experienced runners seeking a fast race and beautiful scenery. The course starts at Sinj City Market and takes you along the entire Pavića Nebesa and back through the Suhački Streams to the finish. It is not overly technically demanding, and the time limit allows even those who simply want to enjoy the beauty of the Pavića Nebesa pine forest to complete it. Bring your little ones, your pets, and enjoy the stunning Pavića Nebesa!

ALKARSKE PROVE, or Alka preparations, are the most important part of the Sinj festivities—Bare, Čoja, and Alka. Everyone gathers at the palkas, watching new young men eager to become Alka legends of Sinj. With this idea in mind, we created this trail, simply to bring the charm of trail running closer to all the people of Sinj and our guests. The course is literally suitable for all ages, clearly marked with flags and signs, and is a perfect introduction to the world of running. We invite everyone to try it, enjoy it, and let us guide you through the beautiful part of Pavića Nebesa. Afterward, reward yourself with a swim in the Sinj city pool, a top-notch Sinj lunch, and a refreshing drink.
