Wild Horses Trail

The race starts at 09:30 AM from the village of Ćosanlije - Livno. About 500 meters from the start, you will pass by the Ledine cemetery, heading towards the Kurtagića dolac mountain shelter. After approximately 2.5 kilometers from the start, you will reach a crossroads where you turn left. At 5.3 kilometers from the start, you will arrive at Kurtagića dolac, where your first refreshment station is located. From Kurtagića dolac, you continue towards the Okretište (turning point), where just before reaching it, you turn right onto a new trail. After an ascent, you will reach Trovrs at 1645 meters above sea level (a checkpoint), offering a stunning view of the Livanjsko polje. From Trovrs, you descend back to Kurtagića dolac, where refreshments await you. From there, you continue towards Gornja Kamešnica at 1628 meters above sea level. From there, you follow the ridge over Burnjača (1770 m), Garjata (1773 m), Bliznički Brig (1690 m), and Gušinova Kazala (1654 m). After 6 kilometers, you will reach the Bunarić mountain shelter, which is also your third refreshment station and a checkpoint. After Bunarić, you will ascend to the summit of Kamešnica, the second highest peak on Mount Kamešnica at 1809 meters above sea level, which you will reach after 1.20 kilometers from Bunarić. From the summit of Kamešnica, you will continue to Konj at 1856 meters above sea level, the highest point of the entire trail, covering 4 kilometers of the most beautiful part of the ridge. At Konj, you will find your fourth checkpoint and water supply. Finally, you will have a descent of 5.6 kilometers with an elevation drop of 1100 meters, passing by the Pešino vrilo mountain shelter (refreshment point), located halfway, before reaching the finish line in Podgradina. The trail offers everything that the 'most beautiful' ridge in the region has to offer. Those who complete this trail will be talking about it for a long time.

After approximately 2 kilometers on a village road, the trail turns into the forest, where the ascent to the Bunarić mountain shelter begins. After 4.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach a crossroads where you turn right onto an easier trail leading to Bunarić, with 2 kilometers remaining. About 400 meters before reaching Bunarić, you merge with the MUSTANG trail, which you will follow all the way to the finish line. At Bunarić, you will find your first refreshment station and checkpoint. From Bunarić, you will ascend to the summit of Kamešnica, the second-highest peak on Mount Kamešnica at 1809 meters above sea level, which you will reach after 1.2 kilometers from Bunarić. From the summit of Kamešnica, you will continue to the summit of Konj at 1856 meters above sea level, the highest point of the entire trail, covering 4 kilometers of the most beautiful part of the ridge. At Konj, you will find your second checkpoint and water supply. Finally, you will have a descent of 5.6 kilometers with an elevation drop of 1100 meters, passing by the Pešino vrilo mountain shelter (refreshment point), located halfway, before reaching the finish line in Podgradina. The trail is quite demanding due to the total elevation gain, length, the descent from Konj at the end, and the technical difficulty. Do not underestimate this trail and prepare well for it. The race begins on the trail towards Pešino vrilo. After 1.3 kilometers from the start, you turn left onto the Gospe Sinjske trail. After 1.8 kilometers from the junction, you will have completed almost the entire ascent and reached the highest point of your trail. There, you turn left again onto a trail that takes you through Potajnica (refreshment point) and through a beautiful forest, leading you along the most scenic parts of your trail to the finish line. The trail is exceptionally beautiful and attractive, both for runners and hikers. It is designed for less experienced trail runners, hikers, and walkers, making it suitable for a family outing with children.
