Second edition of the humanitarian ultramarathon from Zagreb to Sisak!

The organizer is actor Marko Cindrić. Last year, the run was held for the public kitchen, the KAS Sisak association, and the Kolibrići association. A total of €20,500 was raised through the humanitarian initiative. The same story continues this year—we run for those who cannot, for the most vulnerable groups in our society. The race represents a celebration of human ability and spirit.

The run supports the Krijesnica Association and the Kolibrići Association.

About the Krijesnica Association:
One of the goals of this year’s Mosa Bavlju Ultramarathon is to raise €10,000 for the Krijesnica Association, an organization that has been providing exceptional support to children and families affected by malignant diseases for many years.
Krijesnica focuses on improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families. They offer psychological, social, and physical support, and through various activities, education, and therapies, they aim to reduce the stress that comes with battling serious illness. In addition, they provide financial assistance to families in difficult situations, allowing them to focus on their children's recovery and well-being.
This year, with your support, we are raising funds for a rehabilitation camp to be held in June. This camp offers children who have overcome malignant illness a chance to recover physically and emotionally through activities designed to help them reintegrate into everyday life. Krijesnica ensures a safe environment where children can once again feel the joy of play and social interaction, while their families can find relief and hope.

About the Kolibrići Association:
It is with great pleasure that we support the Kolibrići Association, an organization that provides extraordinary assistance to children and families facing the most difficult life challenges. Last year, we achieved great things together, and this year our goal remains the same.
Kolibrići was founded in late 2011 by parents of critically ill children, with the aim of ensuring and improving basic living conditions. The association is a non-profit humanitarian organization that currently includes around seventy members. Its primary task is to organize charitable events and other humanitarian activities to raise funds for purchasing medical aids and medications, as well as covering treatment costs.
Kolibrići are children with various medical diagnoses who are critically ill. Most of them cannot speak, walk, or breathe on their own and rely on life-sustaining equipment and 24-hour parental care. Sadly, some Kolibrići have not survived their illnesses, but their fight was not in vain. Through the Association, parents share experiences and offer each other advice on exercising their rights. Moral and emotional support within this community is of immeasurable value.
The Association's slogan is “I am a child too,” aiming to remind the public that these are children who deserve love, attention, and a chance at a happy life—not just a diagnosis.

What are we raising funds for?
This year, through the Mosa Bavlju Ultramarathon, we aim to raise €10,000 to purchase orthopedic aids not covered by the national health insurance (HZZO) list, which are essential for the development and progress of critically ill children.

Priority equipment includes:

• Aspirators

• Standing frames (verticalizers)

Ultramarathon distance 70 km – road running

Registration fee €30 – the entire fee goes to the humanitarian cause

Registration is open until May 12th.
