After two years, the beer mile returns to Zagreb!

Many say there's no better feeling than completing a good workout or race, and then enjoying a cold beer. We agree, but this race offers a slightly different concept! This is a race where you can see how these two go together.

We invite all enthusiasts, runners, and lovers of good fun to join us! Even those who don't compete 😉

Race Rules:

• Participants must be of legal drinking age

• Participation is limited to 80 participants

• Individuals: Each participant must drink 4 beers of 0.33L and run 4 laps of 400m

• Relay: Each relay team member must drink 1 beer of 0.5L and run 1 lap of 400m

• The race starts with drinking the first beer, and before starting each lap, the beer must be consumed in the transition zone 9 meters from the start line

• Competitors must turn the bottle/cup above their heads as proof that the beer has been consumed

• In case of vomiting, competitors must run an additional lap after completing their fourth lap

• The relay team must be mixed-gender; one participant must be of the opposite sex

• Competitors must complete the mile within 25 minutes

Race Date and Start: Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 7:00 PM

Location: Sava Embankment, under the Hendrix Bridge

Race Packet Pickup: On the race day from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Course: Paved surface under the railway bridge, 4 laps of 400m

Competition: Individual men, individual women, and 4-person relay (mixed-gender only; one participant must be of the opposite sex; maximum of 10 relays)

Registration: for a full starter pack online by Monday, June 10th at midnight or until the quota of 80 people is filled. Registration is considered valid only with a completely filled out online registration form and payment of the entry fee.

If you pay on June 11th, unfortunately, you will not receive a cotton T-shirt with the race design, but you will definitely get a beer for the competition.

Online payments are accepted until Thursday, June 20th at 11:59 PM. After that date, registration is only possible on the day of the race on-site, but without the T-shirt and brewery souvenirs. Please do not pay on Friday as the payment might not be processed in time, which would cause issues.

Entry Fee:

• Individuals: 15 euros

• Relay Teams: 60 euros

Prizes: Mlinarica Brewery gift package for the top three finishers in each category and relay team; Free entry to the BEER FESTIVAL in Vodnjan on August 2, 2024, for the winners in the men's and women's categories.

Changes and Replacements: Changes to participant data and runner replacements are possible free of charge until June 9th via email at team@racemango.com. Entry fee refunds are not possible.

Disclaimer: The race is open to all healthy adults of legal drinking age, and all participants run at their own risk. By registering for the race, the participant confirms being familiar with the race rules, waives the possibility of holding the organizer responsible, confirms their health condition, and readiness to complete the race. By not accepting these participation rules, you are not eligible to participate in the race. The organizer is not responsible for any damage to equipment or lost/stolen items of participants during the race.

Likewise, recordings and photographs may be published in print or electronic media and/or on the organizer's social media.
