21. Sep 2026.

From September 23 to 30, all of Europe celebrates the European Week of Sport — #BeActive. In Croatia, it is coordinated by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, and Race Mango is joining in its own way: during those eight days in Map Heist, we're playing three special #BeActive leagues.
The point of the week is simple — get active. The point of our leagues is to make that movement visible: every activity you do conquers a piece of the map of Europe.

What is Map Heist?
Map Heist is a free game where we turn running, walking, hiking, and cycling into territorial conquest. The map is divided into hexagonal fields. With every workout, you reveal a new piece of the map, which slowly becomes your territory. Holding a field earns you points every day, but if you don't defend it with new activities, an opponent can steal it from you. You don't need any extra equipment: an activity recording from your watch or smartphone is all it takes.

Three #BeActive Leagues
During the week, three separate leagues will take place, each with its own map and leaderboard:

  • #BeActive Run — running

  • #BeActive Walk/Hike — walking and hiking

  • #BeActive Bike — cycling

All three are set on the map of Europe and are open to everyone, regardless of country. Everyone starts from scratch — nothing carries over from other leagues, so on day one, everyone is on the same starting line.

How to Play — In Four Steps
1. Create a profile — log in or register for free.
2. Get moving — run, walk, hike, or ride a bike.
3. Submit an activity — upload your file (GPX, TCX, or FIT) from your watch or app.
4. Hold your ground — each day you hold a field earns you points.

If you already play Map Heist, you don't need to do anything. You're already in the #BeActive league for your sport, and your regular activities will count here automatically. If you don't want to participate, you can leave the league at any time.

#BeActive Week Rules

  • Only activities completed between September 23 and September 30 count. Last week's workout doesn't count here, no matter how good it was.

  • The league opens on September 23 at midnight and closes on September 30 at 11:59 PM. Upload your final activity before then.

  • Minimum 1 km per activity.

  • The recording must be GPS-based — indoor workouts or stationary trainers don't have a route, so they cannot be scored.

  • Every submission is reviewed by an administrator — so please be patient if your fields don't appear immediately.

  • Everything else works just like in regular Map Heist leagues.

T-Shirts and Badge
As in every league, it's not just about the overall leaderboard — five categories, five winners. For the #BeActive week, "The Mango" t-shirt is replaced by a special #BeActive t-shirt, while the other four remain the same:

  • #BeActive — most total points and largest territory

  • Ibex Climber (kozorog) — most meters of elevation gain

  • Rabbit Pacer (zec) — fastest average pace

  • Fox Raider (lisica) — most fields stolen from other players

  • Lamb Rookie (janje) — best player who joined this season

In addition, anyone who completes at least one activity gets a #BeActive badge for their sport. The badge stays on your profile forever — no matter where you finish on the leaderboard.

See you on the map!
